If they\u2019re grabbed by a predator, they can drop part of their tail to escape! The tail keeps wriggling to distract the predator, giving the slow worm time to slither away. The tail doesn\u2019t grow back fully, but it\u2019s a brilliant survival tactic.<\/p><p>They\u2019re completely harmless to people and love munching on slugs, snails and insects \u2014 making them a
